Product principle
This experimental system simulates the amount of carbon dioxide generated by bio-based materials under aerobic composting conditions.
Bio-based materials, under the action of microorganisms, consume oxygen to decompose and produce carbon dioxide, water and other inorganic substances, and the carbon dioxide produced is determined by gravimetric method. The percentage of the actual carbon dioxide release of the sample and the theoretical carbon dioxide release of the sample is the biodegradation rate.

Typical cases
This is the experimental result of a certain unit using M9000W compost method biodegradation instrument to test the biodegradability of a sample with reference to the method standard of GB/T19277.2-2013. The test period is 50 days. It can be seen from Figure 1 that the degradation rate of cellulose has reached 79.13% within 45 days. At this time, the growth curve of each experimental group is flat and will gradually degrade completely as the experiment proceeds. The experimental design is shown in the following table:
