  三、Working principle:

  Biological oxygen consumption to determine the biodegradation rate: four charge movements in the electrolysis system produce one molecule of oxygen. The oxygen production is determined by the charge movement. The ratio of actual oxygen consumption to theoretical oxygen consumption is the biodegradation rate of the tested sample.

  Determination of biodegradation rate by carbon dioxide production: carbon dioxide produced by biodegradation reaction is absorbed by sodium hydroxide solution. After absorbing carbon dioxide, the conductivity of the solution changes. The production of carbon dioxide is determined by the change of conductivity. The ratio of actual production of carbon dioxide to theoretical production is the biodegradation rate of the tested sample.

  The two kinds of test results verify each other, so as to ensure that the test results are more accurate.
